About the Opportunity

  • Preparation, data entry, verification and processing of a bi-weekly payroll using ADP payroll system
  • Preparation of bi-weekly and monthly payroll journal entries
  • Preparation of all monthly payroll related account reconciliations
  • Assist in the creation and / or maintenance of various payroll reports
  • Reconciliation of benefits remittance
  • Ensure staff records and supporting documents pertaining to new hires, terminations and changes are accurate and in accordance with payroll compliance and legislation
  • Issue Records of Employment and assist with the preparation of T4’s and T4-A’s
  • Responds to employee queries on payroll related matters
  • Ensure all communications reflect Rethink standards and contribute to a positive agency culture
  • Investigate and resolve any payroll issues
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and provincial statutory regulations
  • Maintaining all employee payroll information

About You

  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation.
  • University degree or college diploma ideally in Finance, Accounting or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of directly related work experience in payroll.
  • Prior experience with US payroll is an asset.
  • Knowledge of ADP Payroll system considered an asset.
  • Advanced excel (pivot tables, and Vlookups)
  • Bilingualism (French / English) is an asset.
  • Strong computer skills especially MS Excel.
  • Superior time management skills with ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines. Self-motivation, flexibility, and ability to manage shifting priorities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem solving & judgment skills.
  • A customer service focus while maintaining a confidential work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as a proactive team player.
  • Muli provincial (ON, BC, QC)
