Opportunity Description :
Marpole Neighbourhood House (MNH), the newest neighbourhood house under the umbrella of the Association of Neighbourhood Houses of BC (ANHBC), seeks new members for our Community Advisory Board for a minimum two-year term.
We are looking for committed, collaborative, and adaptable people who are passionate about community building and place-making, share our values, have a connection to the community of Marpole, and / or who can bring important perspectives, skills, and experiences.
At this time, we are especially interested in individuals who have the following knowledge or skills :
Communications and engagement
Health (especially mental health)
Technology / IT
Fund Development
We want our Board reflect the diversity of our community. As such, we encourage applications from people who are a member of, or have experience working or volunteering with, the following groups :
Newcomers, immigrants, and refugees
Youth (minimum age of 16 for applicants)
Seniors or elders (55+)
Parents or guardians of youth or young adults
Individuals with disabilities
Indigenous peoples
Members of the 2SLGBTIA+ community
As a new member of our Community Advisory Board, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the community of Marpole.
