Job Description :
The Certified Engineering Technologists (CETs) at Cheme play a crucial role in supporting engineers with field operations, design work, and CAD drafting activities. This position involves performing clearly defined and standardized technical tasks, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals with at least one year of certified technologist experience who are looking to build a career in technical engineering support.
Main Responsibilities :
- Assist engineering teams with technical documentation, data collection, and calculations.
- Maintain and update technical drawings and records in compliance with company standards.
- Adhere to standardized procedures and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers and senior technicians on project deliverables.
- Coordinate installation activities with contractors and vendors.
- Perform equipment selection, sizing calculations, and P&ID development.
- Prepare construction specifications, user requirements, and functional specifications.
- Develop commissioning and validation protocols.
- Attend factory acceptance testing and execute on-site commissioning and validation activities.
Minimum Required Education :
Core Competencies :
Minimum 1-3 years of experience working in technical engineering support, drafting, or computational analysis.Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) is an asset.Basic understanding of engineering principles, drafting standards, and computational techniques.Strong attention to detail and ability to work according to standardized procedures.Proficiency in written and spoken English with the ability to communicate clearly with clients.Adept at dealing with clients and other people in a professional and courteous manner.Use of Microsoft operating system and Microsoft Office Suite to navigate a server environment and prepare engineering documents.Ability to use Microsoft Project to create schedules and track project resources.Good interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, clients, and contractors.Must have a valid driver's license and a vehicle for site visits.Seniority level
