As a designated CPA (or CFE passer within 12 months of designation), you'll play a vital role managing the company’s financial health. Your expertise in will ensure an efficient close and you’ll play a key role is driving initiatives and transformation. This is your chance to make a real impact and contribute to the success of a renowned brand.

Key responsibilities and oversight :

  • Support the general ledger, month-end, and year-end closing procedures
  • Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts, proactively resolving discrepancies
  • Provide analysis and related commentary on key financial indicators including historical comparisons
  • Collaborate with the other finance groups supporting planning and forecasting functions
  • Safeguard company assets by maintaining and improving internal controls
  • Mentor and guide junior accountants, fueling their growth
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial information flow
  • Implement new policies and procedures, driving continuous improvement

The company is offering a lucrative compensation package for this level including an attractive base salary, annual bonus, vacation, RSP match and benefits. Full remuneration details will be disclosed to all candidates under consideration.

The successful candidate will possess the following :

  • Designated Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with a passion for excellence
  • Minimum three years of accounting / finance experience
  • In-depth knowledge of large company / high transaction volume environments
  • Retail or consumer goods industry experience preferred
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
