General Labourer

Job Title: General Labourer (Part-Time)

Location: Langley BC

Status: Part-Time (Transitioning to full-time potential)

GFL Environmental is looking for a motivated hardworking General Labourer to join our Langley team. This role is essential to maintaining the safety cleanliness and professional appearance of our facility and yard.

This is a Part-Time position to start ideal for someone looking for a consistent midweek schedule with the opportunity for growth and increased responsibility following a successful probationary period.

Schedule

• Days: Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday.

• Hours: 9:00 am 5:30 pm (8 hours per day).

• Note: Shift patterns and total hours are subject to change upon completion of the probationary period.

Key Responsibilities

• Facility Maintenance: Perform general cleanup of the shop and office exterior.

• Yard Upkeep: Regular litter pick-up and debris removal to ensure site safety.

• Surface Care: Power washing equipment bins and walkways; basic painting and touch-up work as needed.

• Landscaping: Basic yard maintenance to keep the perimeter tidy.

• Growth: Adapt to new operational duties as they are assigned by the supervisor over time.

Requirements

• Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions (rain or shine).

• Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently without constant supervision.

• Reliability is a mustconsistent attendance for the TuesdayThursday block is required.

• Previous experience in power washing or general maintenance is an asset but not required.

• Must be comfortable with the potential for schedule shifts after the initial training/probationary phase.
