Geotechnical Engineering Intern

AECOM is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer Intern to join our team to assist our technical team with a variety of field and office assignments with a focus on geotechnical engineering analyses. You will be able to help with subsurface exploration construction oversight calculations report preparation and plan and specification preparation.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to :

• Compile and present geotechnical data for project teams.
• Assist with engineering design tasks using geotechnical software.
• Process instrumentation data and perform calculations to support design decisions.
• Support field investigations including borehole drilling instrumentation installation and construction supervision.
• Assist project team during the proposal / bid phase.
• Communicate effectively with others within the team and with internal and external clients.
• Perform work in accordance with projected budget and schedule under supervision.

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university or college program in Civil or Geological Engineering with emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering and must have completed at least 3 years of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a bachelors degree and plan to continue with the masters degree are eligible to apply for this position. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelors degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.
