Purpose : The Inventory Manager oversees the complete inventory management and demand planning functions across multiple distribution centers. This role is accountable for maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing stock levels, supporting service level targets, and enforcing disciplined control processes across all lines of business. You will lead a team of analysts and provide clear insights, uphold best practices, and make data‑driven decisions that directly influence operational efficiency and working capital.

Job Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Control
- Monitor on‑hand, in‑transit, and quarantined stock positions daily; flag risks early and drive timely resolution.
- Own inventory accuracy, turns, DOH, excess and obsolete reduction, and service‑level KPIs across all DCs.
- Establish and enforce strong inventory control processes, including cycle counting, reconciliation, root cause analysis, and corrective action follow‑through.
- Ensure ERP master data integrity (Costs, UoM, lead times, safety stock, reorder parameters).
Data Analysis & Reporting
Develop and publish weekly and monthly reports covering inventory performance, forecast accuracy, service‑level trends, and aging inventory risks.Convert complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership.Drive creation and maintenance of dashboards for visibility into replenishment, backorders, supplier performance, and inventory risk.Use data to challenge decisions, model scenarios, and recommend corrective actions.Demand Planning & Forecasting
Lead the demand planning cycle for all product categories, including rolling forecasts, trend analysis, seasonality, and new product introductions.Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance to validate demand assumptions and resolve forecast gaps.Build and maintain forecast accuracy dashboards; implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce bias and variability.Set clear goals, provide coaching, and foster an environment of accountability and continuous improvement.Align workload across the team and ensure high execution standards in analysis, reporting, and inventory control tasks.Lead root cause investigations for stockouts, overstock events, and data discrepancies.Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner with Purchasing, Warehousing, Logistics, Sales, and Finance to ensure inventory targets are understood, shared, and executed.Facilitate communication between DC teams to ensure consistent processes and visibility.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or related field (Master’s degree or APICS certification preferred).7+ years of progressive experience in Inventory Management, Demand Planning, or Supply Chain within distribution, healthcare, or related industries.Strong background managing multi‑DC environments with broad SKU portfolios.Proven track record of improving forecast accuracy, reducing inventory risk, and implementing disciplined control processes.Advanced analytical skills; expert in Excel, forecasting tools, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, or similar).Strong leadership experience with a team‑focused, collaborative mindset.Confidence in making data‑driven decisions, even when they’re difficult or unpopular.APICS / ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) is an asset.Skills
