Job Description

DeckMart Building Supplies is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Inside Sales Associate to join our dynamic team in Woodbridge, ON (Hwy 7 and Pine Valley). The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales and customer service, with the ability to engage customers effectively. This role involves assisting customers in selecting products, providing product demonstrations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. As an Inside Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and building lasting relationships with our clients.

Responsibilities :

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
• Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits effectively.
• Utilize upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and maximize sales opportunities.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to provide accurate information to customers.
• Handle customer inquiries via phone and in-person with excellent phone etiquette.
• Process transactions accurately using basic math skills for cash handling and sales reporting.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain store standards.
• Ensure the sales floor is organized, stocked, and visually appealing at all times.

Commission :   1% commission of total sales

Working Schedule :   Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm - Low Season. Monday to Friday from 8 : 00am to 5pm, Saturdays Rotation : from 10am to 2pm - High Season

Overtime :  eligible

Job Types :   Full-time, Permanent

Work Location : In person

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications : Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Proven experience in sales, with an emphasis on technical sales preferred. Experience in building materials or construction, distribution or retail preferred. Excellent customer service skills to create a welcoming atmosphere for shoppers. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Proficiency in conducting product demos that engage customers and highlight product value. Capability to upsell products while maintaining customer satisfaction. Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and inventory management.
