HVAC and Systems Technician
Location : Toronto, ON
Pay : $25.00 / hour
Start Date : January 2, 2025
Shifts : Day, Evening, Weekend (24 / 7 availability)
We are seeking a skilled HVAC and Systems Technician to maintain the functionality of essential City of Toronto facilities, including critical HVAC systems and Building Automation Systems (BAS).
Background Check : All candidates will be subject to complete several in-depth background checks. Workers selected to work at the Toronto Police buildings will be required to pass background checks that contain multiple tiers.

Responsibilities :
- Operate and maintain HVAC systems, including centrifugal chillers and cooling towers.
- Use BAS to monitor, control, and optimize building systems.
- Perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address system inefficiencies.
- Provide technical support to trades professionals and escalate complex issues as needed.
Qualifications :
- Expertise in HVAC systems, BAS, and building maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and technical documentation abilities.
- Availability for rotating shifts and on-call emergencies.
- Ability to meet background check requirements, including TPS clearance.
