SUMMARY : The Account Manager owns the customer relationship and is responsible for developing and executing the strategic account plans.
This position is responsible for providing the customer with technical and commercial support in order to grow StackTeck’s overall share of their business.
The role requires highly professional direct interaction with Customers, the Sales Team and other Internal Teams in order to deliver clean programs / projects into the business.

Candidate must have a proven record in technical sales and key account management.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Strategic account management and development.
- Present account strategy and obtain approval including new business opportunities in existing accounts.
- Set and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives.
- Direct communication with customers, both local and internationally and lead and attend customer visits.
- Leverage consultative sales techniques to identify solutions for customer challenges.
- Program management of orders responsible for delivering clean orders (technically and commercially) into the business. Lead confirmation meetings to ensure customer requirements are going to be met.
- Manage / execute qualification, customer service issues and customer complaints in conjunction with the Program Manager & Operations Team.
- Act as the ambassador for the customer within StackTeck and for StackTeck with the customer.
- Travel as required (25%+) to meet customer and deliver presentations.
- Willingness to take on additional tasks / projects as required by the business.
- Back up the Program Manager as needed including hosting customer visits.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Minimum 8 years’ experience B2B sales / sales support role within the plastics industry.
- Must have direct injection molding experience, along with experience in closures, automation, packaging, and / or PET preforms.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related field preferred. Certified Sales Professional (CSP) designation an asset.
Candidates without CSP designation are expected to attain it within first year.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Second language skills would be a major asset. Spanish and / or Italian highly preferred.
- Outstanding leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent multi-tasking ability and proven problem-solving skills.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office; Working knowledge of CRM software an asset.
- Proven ability to influence and lead without direct authority.
