Overview

Join to apply for the Licensed Truck / Tractor Technician role at Bison Transport Inc.

The Tractor Technician is a permanent, full-time position. You will work with the Service Coordinator, Trailer Technician / Mechanics and Tractor Technician / Mechanics to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing problems found during inspections and prescribing the correct remedial action.

Responsibilities

Diagnose problems found during inspections and prescribe remedial actions.
Complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet.
Collaborate with Service Coordinator, Trailer Technician / Mechanics and Tractor Technician / Mechanics.
Provide support and guidance to Apprentices throughout their apprenticeship.

Qualifications

Must be a Licensed Tractor Technician

Experience working on tractors as a Heavy Equipment Apprentice or Technician

Qualification to perform Safeties is mandatory

Demonstrated diagnosing and time-management abilities

Ability to provide superior customer service to Drivers

Support and encourage Apprentices throughout their apprenticeship

Basic level computer skills (paperless work order entry)

Class 5 Driver’s License

Ability to work unsupervised

Pay and Schedule

Pay rate is $30 per hour and up. Pay will vary based on experience. Shift premiums may apply.

South Shop - 234090 Wrangler Road, Rocky View, AB. Evening shift : 4-10 hour evenings, Monday to Thursday, 16 : 00 – 2 : 30.
