Maintenance Technician

You as a Maintenance Technician at Schroeder Ambulatory Centre :

Operate and maintain all facility equipment and tools

Respond to emergency, urgent, routine on-demand service requests and performs preventative and corrective action on facility mechanical equipment and systems

Monitor assigned equipment and systems by conducting facility walkthroughs and Building Automation (BAS) monitoring

Lead tradesmen / subcontractors (accompany) on equipment repair, preventative maintenance and calibration. Issue permit-to-work and hot work permits. Report any noncompliance and safety-related matter

Ensure conformance to the Environmental Management System within key process areas

Maintain records and information pertinent to work assignments

Close PM and routine work orders on the PDA after completing work assignments

Provide written estimates on work-related repairs and new construction projects as requested

Strict adherence to safety guidelines, policies, and procedures

Provide technical and functional guidance to other staff

Ensure and maintains compliance with assets under the management of FM

Inventory management

Assist with facility-related projects

Is this the right role for you?

• Minimum 1-3 years’ relevant experience
• Building Environmental Services (BES) 1& 2 or Facility Maintenance Related Course
• Knowledge of Building Automation System (BAS)
• Understanding of mechanical drawings and schematics
• Experience in HVAC is an asset
• Maintenance experience in a medical / hospital / healthcare setting strongly preferred
