Are you passionate about caring for children, and experienced in working with infants to primary school-aged kids? Our family in West Vancouver, is searching for a nurturing and reliable nanny to commence from the beginning of December.
We have a 3, 5 and 7 year old, and expecting our fourth baby in mid-December. We are originally from Australia and living here without the support of "our village", so we are looking for someone who will become part of our team and support us in this new transition as our family grows.
This is a live-out, part-time position, offering $25.0 hourly, which is negotiable depending on experience of the applicant.
We are looking for someone to support us between the hours of 2.30pm - 7.30pm, Monday to Friday. There may be opportunity for further hours, as my husband often travels for work.
Experience in childcare and with children of different ages is a must. The applicant must have CPR certification and a valid police clearance.
- The role would involve tasks such as : - picking the children up from school;- taking the children to after school activities at the local recreation center;
- engaging the children in age appropriate activities at home (e.g., arts and craft, reading, play);- meal preparation (e.
g., after school snack, dinner);- light house keeping (e.g., help to tidy up toys at the end of the day, put on loads of laundry and sort laundry when able, put the dishwasher on).
We will organise a professional cleaner to come once a week, so only light house work would be expected;- help with bed and bath routine;
and- helping care for the newborn to allow Mum to have some time with the older children.We live within walking distance of school and the local recreation center, so while a drivers license and a car would be desirable, it is not essential.
We are close to the bus service, and many local parks and playgrounds. The applicant would need to be comfortable around a dog, as we have a medium sized dog at home who is very friendly.
