Job Overview
A reputable non-profit organization in Alberta is seeking a dynamic part-time Executive Director. This role manages day-to-day operations, supports governance, oversees finances, handles membership services, and ensures effective communication. The Executive Director will advance the organization’s strategic plan, expand its profile, and represent the profession in Alberta.
Key Responsibilities
- Administration : Facilitate information flow, prepare correspondence, coordinate departments, and manage the annual calendar.
- Governance : Organize board meetings, maintain governance documents, and support the Annual General Meeting.
- Financial Management : Oversee partnership agreements, support the Annual Audit, prepare financial statements, and assist with budget development.
- Membership : Handle membership correspondence, update records, manage renewals, track continuing education credits, and coordinate meetings.
- Communications : Update the website, manage social media, format newsletters, and distribute award information.
- Events : Drive educational programming, oversee logistics, manage budgets, and support event execution.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, preferably in Interior DesignOffice administration or organizational management experienceStrong time management, organizational, and communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, QuickBooksKnowledge of basic accounting and business managementAbility to work independentlyFamiliarity with the relevant industry is a plusBenefits
