Reporting to the Head of Finance, as the Controller, you’ll be a key contributor and strategic partner across the business. You’ll oversee costing, inventory, reporting, tax compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and project work, while helping elevate systems, processes, and financial insights. This is a hands-on role with strong succession potential for a career‑minded CPA who thrives in a collaborative environment.
What You’ll Do
Reporting & Financial Leadership
- Prepare month‑end financial reporting and KPIs
- Lead quarterly and annual budgeting processes
- Drive reporting automation and implement best practices
- Corporate tax compliance, provisions and planning
- Prepare project reporting and monitor project costs versus budget
- Pension plan accounting and reporting
Inventory Management & Additional Responsibilities
- Manage annual physical inventory
- Maintain and continuously improve computerized accounting/inventory control systems
- Analyze and reconcile raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
- Oversee cycle count processes
- Manage inventory-related month‑end reporting
Standard Costing
- Lead all standard costing and Bill of Materials updates within the ERP system
- Analyze cost‑saving opportunities and recommend improvements
- Partner with senior leadership to deliver high-quality analysis supporting planning and operational decisions
- Update standard costs as required

What You Bring
Education & Designation
- Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Commerce or Business
- CPA designation
Experience
- 7+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical mindset with advanced Excel proficiency (data modeling, manipulation, and analysis)
- Solid understanding of ERP systems and willingness to support ongoing improvement
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism
- Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
- Comfortable working onsite in a collaborative environment and taking on new challenges
