Job Summary
The Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the shipping process for our manufacturing plant. This includes ensuring accurate and timely shipment of products, managing shipping schedules, maintaining inventory records, and coordinating with internal teams to meet customer delivery requirements. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Organize outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery of products to customers and suppliers.
- Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation, including packing lists, bills of lading, and various paperwork as needed.
- Track inventory levels and ensure that product quantities are correct for shipments.
- Communicate with vendors, freight carriers, and customers to confirm shipping schedules and resolve any shipping issues.
- Inspect received material and ensure no discrepancies in parts and quantities between received material and purchase order / packing slip
- Inspect the quality and condition of shipments upon arrival. As well as record the method of packaging for when product is being repackaged for dispatch.
- Verify the quality and condition of shipments before dispatch and ensure that all items are correctly packed.
- Maintain detailed records of all shipped orders and inventory movements in the company’s system.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, transportation laws, and company policies for all shipments.
- Address any shipping discrepancies, damages, or delays and work towards timely solutions.
- Work closely with production, warehouse, and sales teams to prioritize shipments and resolve any logistical issues.
Education
Certificate in Supply Chain and Logistics, with 2+ years of relevant experiences in logistics, supply chain management and / or shipping & receivingFamiliarity with Microsoft Office including Excel and OutlookOther Qualifications and Experiences
Speaks, writes and communicates fluently in EnglishFlexible work hours including weekends.Experience in transportation, metal and / or 3PLKnowledge of ERP platforms such as OnRamp, SAP S / 4 HANA, Microsoft Office including Excel and OutlookStrong communication skills and comfortable working in a face-paced environmentFlexible with working between an office setting and the warehouse floor / shipping yardCommitted to continuous improvement and ensuring a safe work environmentTotal Compensation
