Unregulated Care Providers (UCP)

Huntsville, ON P1H 0B1, Canada

  • Local Citizens or Permanent Resident (PR) only

We’re on the lookout for a passionate Unregulated Care Providers (UCP), Healthcare Aide, Home Health Aide (HHA), Patient Care Assistant (PCA) , to join our team in the senior living industry in Huntsville, ON P1H 0B1, Canada.

Shift Schedule Availability :

  • 15 : 00-23 : 00hr
  • Casual UCP needed available to work Evenings / Nights for sick calls / backfill / vacation coverage

    • RESPONSIBILITIES :

    Medication Administration (

  • UCPs only)
  • The UCP is responsible for providing the highest degree of quality care and services by administering medication and treatments in a safe organized manner by law and in accordance with prevailing practices as set out by the pharmacy.
  • Reviews, reads, documents and communicates pertinent information about residents.
  • Receives medication updates.
  • Administers / assists / observes medications and treatments for each resident using the medication administration record (MAR).
  • Medications are passed according to times as directed by the residence and / or physician's order.
  • Documents and initials as medications are given; appropriate documentation is completed for refusal or missed doses.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all resident information including resident medication among other residents.

    • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Demonstrated understanding of / empathy for the needs of seniors.
  • Passionate about providing excellent care and services to seniors
  • Certified in CPR and First Aid recommended.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to update and keep current their knowledge of changing regulations, practices and procedures.
  • Previous employment in a health care / hospitality setting an asset.
  • PSW or Supportive Care certification an asset
