Warehouse Worker (3 positions) for provincial government agency client, North York.

Job Type : Temporary.

Initial Term : November 18 2024 to June 30 2025.

Compensation : $21 per hour.

Regular Work Hours : FULL TIME WORK HOURS : From 8 : 30 am to 4 : 30 pm, not including .75 hour unpaid lunch break, Monday to Friday (36.

25 work hours per week). May also be required to work other weekday, evening or weekend shifts as needed.

Work Location : 100% onsite at client's North York office, with free parking provided.

Ergonomic Requirements : In addition to regular desk work, the position will require extended standing, walking inside and outside the premises, bending, crouching and overhead reaching, regular lifting up to 35 lbs.

Onsite Dress Code : Neat work-wear suitable to a warehouse or loading dock. Steel-toed boots or shoes mandatory.

Position Reports To : Facilities and Logistics Manager.

Responsibilities Summary :

Working in a team environment, will assist with receiving and shipping deliveries of materials, load and unload trucks, label boxes, manually lift and move materials and equipment, and process and respond to a range of warehouse facilities tasks and requests as needed.

• Prepare warehouse orders by processing requests, pulling or receiving materials, packing or unpacking boxes, and placing or receiving orders within the delivery area.
• Take inventory of materials shipped or received. Store, count, open or pack materials. Label boxes to identify materials.

Enforce inventory controls.

• Dispose of leftover packing materials according to established policies and best practices.
• Preserve safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat and in compliance with procedures and regulations.
• Additional warehouse, inventory control and facilities support tasks as required.

Qualifications :

Education : Highschool Diploma or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Preferred Work Experience : Approximately 1+ years of related experience in a warehouse environment.

Technical and Language Skills Requirements :

• General familiarity with inventory processing and tracking systems and databases.
• Satisfactory keyboarding and data entry skills (will be tested).
• Satisfactory numeracy skills (will be tested).
• Satisfactory English reading comprehension, writing and verbal communication skills (will be tested).

• Ability to declare personal Non-Conflict of Interest in execution of assignment responsibilities.
• Provision of certification of AODA and OHSA online training course completion prior to assignment start.
