Are you a First Nations, Metis, or Inuit professional who has experience working closely with Indigenous communities?

We're looking for you to join our team as a Relationship Manager, Indigenous Trust , in select locations across Turtle Island (Canada).

At CIBC, we are committed to building strong, trusted partnerships with Indigenous communities. Reporting to the Executive Director, Indigenous Trust, with a dotted line to the Vice President, Indigenous Markets, the Relationship Manager (RM), Indigenous Trust plays a key role in managing client relationships and overseeing the administration of Indigenous Trusts.

This involves collaborating with a specialized team across Trust, Commercial Banking, and Wealth Management to deliver tailored solutions that address the unique needs of Indigenous clients and Trust structures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary client contact, building trusted relationships with Indigenous Leadership, Communities, Trustees, Service Providers, and stakeholders.
  • Oversee client relationship management, ensuring thorough administration and compliance with Trust Deeds and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with Indigenous clients on Trust programs, funding, reporting, communication, and training to support community goals.
  • Support the development of Trust policies and programs for Indigenous communities, working closely with Trustees and Leadership.
  • Coordinate Community Trust meetings, including agenda preparation, minutes, and follow-ups.
  • Partner with internal and external experts to ensure effective investment, tax management, and regulatory compliance for Trust accounts.
  • Drive capacity development through education and training for Leadership, Trustees, and community members.
  • Ensure timely and accurate setup and administration of Indigenous Trusts, identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Provide coaching and oversight to support teams, fostering professional growth and a positive work environment.

Work Arrangement

We support a flexible work environment, with specific onsite and remote details to be discussed during the interview process.

Note : Significant travel to Saskatoon will be required multiple times a month for candidates outside the area.
