About the Company
A company operating in the retail sector, managing a large network of stores across Québec as well as several distribution centers. The organization operates in a fast-paced environment focused on offering accessible products to a broad customer base, with strong operational structure and a collaborative culture.

The Role

Reporting to the Purchasing Department, the Assistant Buyer supports the Buyer in the day-to-day management and sourcing of a product category related to the games universe (board games, card games, puzzles, strategy and knowledge-based games).

This role is a key entry point into the buying function and offers strong opportunities for learning and internal progression.

Key Responsibilities
Support product sourcing activities based on store needs and sales forecasts
Assist with product allocation and distribution across the store network
Provide operational and administrative support to Buyers in managing purchasing conditions and supplier agreements
Follow up with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and related documentation
Monitor sales and inventory data and contribute to basic analyses
Collaborate closely with internal teams (operations, marketing, logistics, purchasing)

Your profile

Candidate Profile
1-2 years of relevant experience, ideally in retail
Interest in the games category (strong asset)
Good knowledge of Excel and comfort working with data
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical ability
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-volume environment
Team-oriented, adaptable, and eager to learn
