Position Overview

BigGeo is redefining geospatial intelligence with an AI-ready Discrete Global Grid System (DGGS) that transforms how spatial data is captured, indexed, and monetized. We are seeking a Senior Product Designer to take a leading role in turning high-level product direction into elegant, usable designs. This role requires someone who thrives in a design system environment, communicates effectively with engineering, and collaborates closely with product owners to translate scoped ideas into intuitive user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve BigGeo’s design system, ensuring consistent patterns and scalable components across products.
• Work with product owners to take high-level requirements and scope and translate them into detailed user flows and screen designs.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs are technically feasible, well-documented, and implemented with fidelity.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI in Figma, iterating quickly based on team and user feedback.
• Design interfaces for complex, data-rich workflows that simplify the experience for technical and non-technical users.
• Facilitate design reviews and usability testing sessions to validate design choices and inform iterations.
• Provide mentorship and feedback to other designers, supporting a culture of craft and consistency.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles, accessibility, and systemized thinking across the product organization.
