About the Role :

Join us in revolutionizing government services! As a Digital Architect, Data , you'll play a pivotal role in transforming Alberta's digital landscape. You'll work alongside cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver innovative digital solutions that enhance citizen experiences.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead Solution Architecture : Develop comprehensive architectural plans, ensuring alignment with a citizen-centric design and agile software development principles.
  • Guide Team Implementation : Facilitate iterative delivery, determine tactical approaches, and identify opportunities for leveraging common components and capabilities.
  • Contribute to Architectural Vision : Shape the future of digital services by contributing to the development of architectural principles, metrics, and standards.
  • Technical Expertise : Provide guidance on detailed designs, review code changes, and contribute to code implementation.
  • Communication and Collaboration : Effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Data Architecture : Proven experience in data architecture, software architecture, or senior data engineering roles.
  • Technical Leadership : Strong leadership skills to guide teams in delivering complex digital solutions.
  • Cloud Technologies : Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their application in building scalable and resilient architectures.
  • Agile Methodologies : Experience working in agile environments and understanding of agile principles.
  • Open Source Technologies : Familiarity with open-source ecosystems like Node.js / NPM.
  • Data Analytics : Knowledge of data analytics tools and methodologies to derive insights from data.

    • Nice to Have :

  • DevSecOps : Experience implementing DevSecOps practices in enterprise environments.
  • Legacy System Modernization : Expertise in transforming legacy systems into modern digital services.
  • Public Sector Experience : Understanding of the public sector context and its specific challenges.
