Overview
Production Coordinator role at CSN Glen-Merritt. The role involves taking a repair from keys to keys, working with all departments within the collision facility to facilitate an efficient repair, ensuring an efficient, safe, high-quality finished product.
Primary Objectives Of The Role
- Orchestrate repair from keys to keys
- Maintain urgency for completion targets
- Manage moving targets and changing priorities
- Keep technician staff efficient, track efficiencies, and allocate work to maximize throughput
- Ensure technicians have what they need to proceed with repairs
- Plan for scheduled in repairs, have corresponding technical staff ready, stage parts, and select paint codes / variants
- Coordinate with all departments for efficient flow of repair
- Understand performance KPIs (Touch time, Cycle Time)
- Focus on process improvements to eliminate bottlenecks
- Lead Production or Pitch meetings with technical staff to set flow and targets
- Determine repair priority and create flow to achieve shop targets
- Assist with supplements as per shop policies
- Ensure repairs are researched against OEM procedures with available documentation
- Participate in Scheduling with front-end staff to review work in progress and communicate status to insurers and customers
- Engage Estimators with the Technical team to improve estimating skills
- Monitor shop safety and health & safety guidelines
- Monitor shop cleanliness and disposal of waste per policies
- Quality control from teardown to reassembly and detailing to ensure repairs meet estimates
- Be part of the scheduling team; balanced scheduling is key
- Ensure vehicles are stored safely, covered, and locked as required
- Arrange sublets as needed (calibrations, tint, PDR, wheels, alignments, film applications)
