World Vision is a global community working together for one purpose : to change the lives of vulnerable children.
Our supporters, partners and staff join forces with communities on the ground to help children enjoy good health, be educated for life, experience the love of God and their neighbours and are cared for, protected and participating.
Together we share proven, world-class development methods to bring food, water, education and economic change. By working with communities to protect children from violence and neglect, caring for them in emergencies, and challenging everyday injustice for the poor, we enable self-sufficient communities to make real, lasting change.
Driven by our desire to serve God and make a lasting impact in the world, we’re a team that knows no bounds or borders. Here in Canada, as part of this global effort, our commitment is to bring this purpose to Canadians of all backgrounds, inviting them to join us in our mission for children.
Within the World Vision Partnership structure, World Vision Canada (WVC) is one of the major resource-raising offices ( Support Offices ).
- As a Support Office, our 425 Canadian staff from across the country are committed to supporting a threefold mandate : to generate resources to support World Vision’s mission through effective and efficient private and public fundraising;
- to inspire Canadian stakeholders to care about World Vision’s commitment to children around the world and to act through giving, action, learning, advocacy and prayers;
and to work with World Vision staff, volunteers, partners and program participants to drive impact for children.
