We are seeking a Business Development Manager, to join our Canadian team and help execute our goals within Canada. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Business Development Manager will be responsible to drive sustainable business growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients within their territory.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Business Development
- Work with Sales Manager to identify growth strategies, focused on increasing revenue, market share and customer satisfaction
- Identify new opportunities and address customer needs
- Schedule business meetings with prospective and current clients
- Promote products and services that address clients’ objectives
- Provide feedback and after-sales support
Account Management and Field Support
Conduct regular key account and installer visitsBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients and partnersRegular review of customer KPI’s and work on execution strategies with Sales ManagerCollaborate with various departments within the organization, such as customer service and product teamsDrive growth in sales revenue to meet or exceed sales targetsIdentifying opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding into new marketsProduct Knowledge
Understand product offeringsMaintain deep knowledge of company products and lines to effectively communicate their value to customersTraining and developmentContinuously update knowledge on industry trends and product updatesCollaborate with marketing, customer service and product teams to align sales strategy and customer satisfactionParticipate in regular team meetingsAttend and contribute to sales meetings, providing insights on sales activities and market trendsCompliance and Sales Reporting
Daily CRM activity reportingRegular opportunity pipeline status reportingUphold company reputation by conducting business with integrity and professionalismQualifications
A minimum of three years in a sales or business development rolePreferably within the Canadian automotive aftermarketProven record of success with the entire sales process, from planning to closingMust be bilingual in French and EnglishExperience managing a portfolio of customers is considered an assetGreat analytical and problem‑solving skillsProficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint) for the creation of reports, presentations and analysisAbility to present programs and to train customer associates on productWillingness to work outside normal business hours, as necessaryHigh level of responsiveness with the ability to prioritize, multi‑task and manage deadlinesMust have excellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to negotiate deals, address concerns, and ensure customer retentionTravel 3-4 days a weekQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status
