Licensed Class B Gas Fitter

B&B Contracting Group is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Licensed Class B Gas Fitter to join our Heavy Civil Gas Division. The successful candidate will perform gas meter exchanges, new installations, system maintenance, inspections, and service work in compliance with FortisBC & BC Technical Safety standards, provincial regulations, and company safety procedures. This role requires strong technical ability, professionalism with customers, and a commitment to quality workmanship. The work is located in all areas of the Lower Mainland.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform residential and commercial gas meter exchanges and installations
• Install, modify, test, and commission gas piping systems and regulators
• Conduct leak detection, pressure testing, purging, and system troubleshooting
• Relight customer appliances and verify safe operation
• Complete FortisBC and company documentation accurately
• Follow all safety procedures, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s) and hazard assessments
• Identify and report system deficiencies, code violations, and safety hazards
• Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and utility representatives
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in safe working condition
• Comply with provincial gas codes, CSA standards, and company policies
