The Senior Analyst, Health and Safety, Supply Chain supports the execution and continuous improvement of health, safety, and wellness programs across the eastern distribution centers (Kingston, Montreal, Debert).
RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Successful candidates will be expected to work onsite 5 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Program and System Support
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of health and safety programs, policies, and procedures for Kingston, Dorval and Debert.
- Manage compliance and action tracking within health and safety systems (, VelocityEHS, ISN, and Vcomply), ensuring timely updates, accuracy, and closure of items.
- Assist in preparing reports and dashboards on key safety indicators, incident trends, and compliance metrics for leadership review.
- Contributes to the development and maintenance of safety training materials, policies, and procedural documents.
- Make recommendations based on industry best practices.
Incident Management and Analysis
Support the incident (Injury and motor vehicle accidents) and near-miss reporting process, including documentation, data entry, and follow-up on corrective actions.Participate in root cause analysis and trend reviews to identify recurring hazards and recommend preventive measures.Provide administrative and analytical support to the site teams during investigations.Regulatory and Compliance Coordination
Assist in ensuring compliance with provincial, and federal health and safety legislation, including MLITSD, WSIB, WCB Nova Scotia, CNESST, and MTO requirements.Support the review and maintenance of fire and emergency evacuation plans and other compliance documentation.Assist with risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety inspections across facilities and departments, documenting findings and monitoring completion of action items.Coordinate contractor compliance documentation and onboarding within ISN.Training and Awareness
Coordinate and schedule health and safety training sessions (, First Aid, MHE, Spill Response, Smith System) in collaboration with site leadership.Support employee orientation processes related to health and safety and contribute to updates of training materials and program content.Participate in the organization and execution of company-wide health, safety, and wellness events, including Safety and Wellness Week.Committees and Engagement
Support the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) by preparing meeting materials, recording minutes, and tracking follow-up actions.Assist in maintaining consistent communication between sites, ensuring alignment on safety initiatives and best practices.Engage with site teams to promote safety awareness and observe workplace and road / delivery conditions, identifying opportunities for improvement.Data Management and Reporting
Collect, analyze, and maintain health and safety performance data to meet internal and external reporting requirements.Provide insights and summaries on trends in leading and lagging indicators for management presentations and auditsEnsure timely submission and documentation of data within health and safety management systems (VelocityEHS, Vcomply) and other tracking platforms.Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.2–5 years of experience in a health and safety or compliance coordination role within a multi-site, industrial, or supply chain environment (Warehouse and Transportation).Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and regulatory frameworks (MLITSD, WSIB, WCB Nova Scotia, CNESST, and MTO etc.).Proficiency in health and safety management systems such as VelocityEHS, ISN, and Vcomply, with solid analytical and reporting capabilities.Experience in risk assessments, incident investigation, safety program design, compliance monitoring, and reporting.Excellent communication, investigative, and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments, teams and levels.Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.Superior Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with Power BI is an asset.Work Environment
This position is field-based and requires regular time spent in warehouse, yard, and transportation settings across multiple sites. The role is not desk-based and involves active engagement with frontline operations and leadership teams.Base salary range of $70,000 – $90,000 CAD (Paid Hourly). Base salary for this position may vary based on relevant factors such as experience, education, location, and skills.
This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual discretionary bonus plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the incentive program, based on individual and company performance metrics.
