Top Shelf Food and Beverage Corporation is looking for a Supply Chain Planner to join our team! As the Supply Chain Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous flow of materials and finished goods through effective production planning, inventory management, and supplier coordination. Your role ensures that our operations run efficiently, customer demand is met, and our supply chain remains resilient and optimized.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production and inventory plans based on sales forecasts, production capacity, and material availability.
- Monitor inventory levels and adjust planning to minimize shortages and excess stock.
- Collaborate closely with procurement, production, and logistics teams to align supply chain activities with business needs.
- Analyze supply chain data and trends to recommend improvements in forecasting, planning, and inventory management.
- Communicate regularly with suppliers to confirm material availability and delivery timelines.
- Maintain accurate ERP system data related to materials planning and inventory management, with a strong emphasis on SAP proficiency.
- Recommend adjustments to production schedules based on material or inventory constraints.
- Initiate purchase requisitions for raw materials or components when required.
- Escalate supply risks or material shortages to management as needed.
- Communicate directly with key suppliers regarding delivery expectations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.2–4 years of experience in supply chain planning, production planning, or logistics coordination within a manufacturing environment; food and beverage experience is an asset.Strong proficiency with ERP systems—SAP experience strongly preferred—as well as Microsoft Excel.APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) considered an asset.Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards.Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and communicate effectively across teams.Willingness to participate in internal training on Top Shelf’s ERP and inventory management systems, Health & Safety orientation, and ongoing professional development.Why Join Top Shelf
