We are actively seeking an Engineer Officer to perform various repairs and maintenance on tugs in the Port of Montreal.

YOUR TALENTS WILL BE USED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING CHALLENGES :

Perform preventive maintenance according to procedures and guidelines.
Carry out repairs and maintenance of the engine room and all equipment on board.
Dismantle, repair, and reinstall equipment related to main diesel engines, auxiliary diesel engines, hydraulic valves, water pumps, and electrical systems onboard the vessel.
Follow preventive maintenance system tasks.
Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.

OUR IDEAL COLLEAGUE HAS :

Canadian 4th Class Marine Engineer’s Certificate

Certificates of competency : MED Basic Safety STCWAbility to operate lifeboats and rescue boats other than fast rescue boats [PSC]Advanced firefighting techniques certificate

Valid Marine Medical Certificate;

Minimum of three to five years experience at sea as an engineer (asset)

Restricted radio operator certificate (asset)

Ability to work on a computer in a Microsoft Office environment

Languages : intermediate level in French or English, spoken and written
