Compensation
A comprehensive compensation package is on offer, consisting of a base salary of $60,000 – $70,000 (commensurate upon experience), plus solid benefits.
Position Description
- Daily review of material requirement reports and creation of purchase orders with assigned vendors to fulfill production needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure a steady supply chain and material availability at the most cost-effective prices.
- Manage communications regarding discrepancies in shipments, delivery schedules, and price changes, and quickly inform relevant stakeholders.
- Keep track of market trends, evaluate supplier performance, and explore cost reduction opportunities in purchasing for both immediate and future needs.
- Ensure accurate vendor pricing in the system and update any changes promptly.
- Analyze product usage and convey needs or forecasts to suppliers.
- Conduct the request for quotes / proposals (RFQ / RFP) process to choose suppliers who meet our standards for cost, quality, and delivery.
- Serve as the intermediary between suppliers and internal departments to solve procurement-related issues.
- Update stakeholders regularly on essential raw material matters to meet customer demands.
- Assist in the sourcing of new products and acquiring necessary information and samples for research and development projects.
- Manage inventory levels to meet the objectives set by management and adhere to budgeted inventory financial and turnover guidelines.
Experience
Prior experience in purchasing or procurement.Relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.Qualifications
Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.Self-driven with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proficient with ERP software and basic Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word).Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related area.
