You will oversee the web design’s technical vision in alignment with Sekure's vision and objectives to build an impressive online presence, improve user interaction on our website and remain on top of changes in technology, coding, search engine functionalities and more, to ensure the latest technology is being used for the of our website.

Our ideal candidate will help set the tone for our digital transformation and will be instrumental to create new ways of working and thinking, for ourselves and our customers, from a digital standpoint.

Our team is responsible for a wide range of customer experiences and lead generation initiatives that have an impact on business results, such as website optimization, content, email marketing, digital advertising and sales.

This role is crucial to bring our brand to life by providing the best digital experience online. In exchange, we will support your desire to acquire new skills and be an expert in the field of web development and digital marketing campaigns.

This is currently a remote position with close, daily team interactions.

Job description

As a Front-End Web Developer with Sekure, you’ll do more than provide value to your team; you’ll pass that value on to our customers. Here’s how :

  • Own, develop and bring to life strong web designs and strategies to deliver world-class user digital experiences in collaboration with the UX Strategist.
  • Analyze technical specifications and engineering requirements.
  • Design, builds, and maintains efficient, reusable, and reliable code, with visual comps for a highly functional user interface with a focus on usability and simplicity of design.
  • Prepares detailed software verification test plans.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the IT support team at all stages of the development cycle.
  • Develop a website maintenance and performance plan and execute each task for short and long-term goals.
  • Carry out cross browser tests to ensure a browser-agnostic website when accessed through different browser-OS combinations i.e. Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Safari—on any of the popular operating systems like Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, different devices i.e.,users can view and interact with our website on popular devices—smartphones, tablets, desktops and laptops etc. and with assistive Tools i.e., screen readers for individuals who are differently abled.
  • Maintain the in-house QA and QC list up to date by performing daily website performance QA and QC tests (Google Lighthouse) in collaboration with the Quality Assurance Specialist.
  • Maintain / update assets to meet web standards (Accessibility, Performance, Security, SEO) = Working directly with QA to achieve this

Familiar or experience with tools such as AXE (Accessibility Tool) NVDA (Screen reader tool for Windows), Voice Over (Screen reader for Mac OS / iOS), Google Lighthouse (Web desktop / mobile audit tool).

  • Translate technical concepts and requirements for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Evaluate technology choices and rapidly test solutions.
  • Brainstorm ideas and website best practices for continuous improvement and solutions with the Senior Brand Manager and other members of the marketing team.
  • Correct website issues with short deadlines and quick turnaround when possible and provide detailed updates on the progress of long-term projects.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, College degree in Computer Science Technology, or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • 3- 5 years experience in web development.
  • Experienced with HTML, TypeScript / JavaScript, CSS, JQuery, XML, SQL, PHP.
  • Experience with cross browser development; enthusiasm for modern browsers and new online technologies / trends.
  • Experience with using Hubspot (creating emails, landing pages)
  • Experience with Wordpress and integration (forms, chatbot, ect.)
  • Proven ability to translate approved UI / UX design mock-ups to feature-rich, pixel-perfect websites and web applications;
  • Ability to write clean, modular, high-performance, reusable code / UI components / libraries;
  • Experience in Web Accessibility (WCAG AA compliant)
  • Experience integrating RESTful services and APIs
  • Graphic design experience is a plus
  • Fluent in English (working proficiency).
  • Experience testing and optimizing responsive landing pages and emails.
  • Knowledge of online marketing platforms (e.g., Google, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn) is a must.
