Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic

Field Heavy Duty Mechanic – Earthworks & Underground Construction.

WCL is looking for a certified Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to work in the field supporting both our earthworks and underground water & sewer crews. This role focuses on on-site diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance to keep production moving.

What You Need :

• Licensed Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic (Off-Road designation required).
• Minimum 3 years experience working on heavy civil and underground equipment.
• Experience working on excavators, dozers, graders, scrapers, loaders, and service trucks.
• Strong ability to diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Experience working in field environments with service trucks.
• Ability to perform preventative, planned, and emergency repairs on site.
• Experience rebuilding components is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Required Tickets :

Licensed Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic.

Valid Class 5 Drivers License (Class 3 is an asset).

WHMIS & CSTS 2020 (or willing to obtain).

Schedule :

7 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM.

12 days on / 2 days off.

Overtime required as needed.
