ETL Developer – Data Analytics

Job Description :

The Data Analytics team is receiving an unprecedented number of requests for work packages. These requests require Impact Analysis and estimates for both Tower and CPC requests which require dedicated resources to work with the business, understand requirements, and delve into the code and database design. You will be learning Canada Post business areas while improving our ability to deliver project solutions.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Load target databases using complex transformations from our source systems ensuring best practices and standards are followed.
• Work with the Data Architects to understand the business requirements and technical specifications and translate them into ETL code.
• Participate in design review sessions, code reviews, and our Agile team meetings
• Develop test scenarios and perform in-depth unit tests, including end-user reviews
• Define ETL job sequence and dependencies including error logging and restart processes as well as develop ETL run books
• Work on technical debt projects and with the Assessment team, using our estimating template to ensure all intakes for ERP, NGTT, and Towers are completed in a timely manner so that funding can be secured, and the Product Teams on Data Analytics have visibility into the resources and timelines for the intakes.
