This position is responsible for general warehouse activities including receiving, storing and shipping products, material handling and transportation.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate a forklift to pack / unpack, store, ship, receive and record the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment and stock to and from retailers, wholesalers, manufacturing companies and other commercial and industrial organizations.
- Determine the least expensive and quickest method of shipment, arrange delivery, and prepare bills of lading, invoices and other shipping documents
- Assemble containers and crates, pack goods to be shipped and attach identifying information and shipping instructions ("packing slips")
- Inspect and count items received, check them against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods
- Unpack and store goods in the appropriate storage areas
- Keep accurate records of items received and where they are stored
- Retrieve stored items and trace lost shipments as needed.
- Operate forklifts, hand trucks or other materials-handling equipment
- Type address labels or use computers to create shipping labels and perform record-keeping functions
- Prepare customs declarations and export documents
- Call customers or carriers to co-ordinate pick-up and delivery
- Contact vendors to resolve problems or contact service depots to arrange for repairs.
- Interacts with internal and external customers
- Manages inventory and forecasts inventory needs
- Applies established principles of inventory management
- Assist with the implementation of ISB and the Work Processes.

- Must wear personal protective equipment.

A. Education and / or Experience
- High School diploma (or equivalent) preferred
- 6+ months experience required.
B. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Must be able to work under pressure.
- Superior communication skills; Must be comfortable engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written) and being attuned to others through strong active listening skills.
- Ability to assess multiple tasks and develop a plan to complete them in a timely manner.
- Must have the ability to work well with others as part of a team.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) required.
- Working Knowledge of SAP based inventory systems considered an asset.
C. Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

D. Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages.
E. Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
