iOS Developer Intern / Co-op (Remote)

Job Description :

Guhuza is seeking an iOS Developer to join our remote team and contribute to the development of our iOS app.

As an iOS Developer at Guhuza, you will play a crucial role in building and enhancing our mobile application, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.

You will collaborate with our cross-functional team to develop new features, improve existing functionality, and maintain the app's overall performance and reliability.

Responsibilities :

  • iOS App Development : Design, develop, and implement new features and functionalities for the Guhuza iOS app using Swift and other relevant technologies.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance : Conduct thorough testing of the iOS app to identify and fix bugs, ensure compatibility across various iOS devices and versions, and maintain high standards of quality and performance.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with the product management, design, and backend development teams to translate requirements and design into well-functioning features, and participate in brainstorming sessions to innovate and improve the app's user experience.
  • Code Maintenance and Optimization : Continuously optimize and refactor codebase to improve app performance, scalability, and maintainability, and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Documentation : Document code changes, technical specifications, and development processes to facilitate collaboration, knowledge sharing, and future maintenance.
  • Problem Solving : Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and challenges related to iOS app development, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Remote Collaboration : Effectively communicate and collaborate with remote team members using various communication and collaboration tools, and demonstrate self-discipline and accountability in a remote work environment.

Requirements :

  • Interest in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience as an iOS Developer or strong desire to learn.
  • Exposure to, proficiency in or strong interest in Swift programming language.
  • Interest in mobile app development best practices, design patterns, and architectural principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members in a remote setting.
