The Municipality of Mississippi Mills is located a short drive west of the Nations Capital and is comprised of the quaint villages of Pakenham, Blakeney, Appleton, Clayton, the township of Ramsay and the friendly Town of Almonte. The Municipality is now accepting applications for experienced Seasonal Operator(s) to join our team. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Seasonal Operator is responsible for operating a plow truck to perform winter road maintenance, including sanding and salt operations. The Seasonal Operator will also be required to perform equipment maintenance as well as general labour duties.
This is a C.U.P.E. position
Hourly Rate: $26.19 to $29.63
Hours include weekend work/overtime may also be required
Hours are also dependent upon weather conditions
The ideal candidate will possess:
• Valid Class DZ Driver’s license
• Minimum three years experience, performing winter maintenance, operating snow-plows, sand & salt trucks.
• Ability to perform required maintenance to ensure vehicles and equipment are in good repair.
• Experience operating light and heavy equipment
• Clean driver’s abstract
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
