Team Leader - Aquatics

Description :

Gordon Head Recreation Centre is seeking an Aquatics Team Leader to provide direction and support to lifeguard staff and may assist in the provision of instructional or recreation programs. The successful candidate will ensure that on duty staff are working effectively, the program is operating safely, and the facility is properly prepared for the enjoyment and satisfaction of all patrons. The Team Leader will be the lead hand in the event of any emergency.

Requirements include completion of Grade 12; current National Lifeguard (NL) Certification (Pool Option); current Lifesaving Society Swim for Life Swim instructor certification; minimum two years lifeguarding experience including two years of teaching experience; current (within one year) CPR Certification – Level C; current Standard First Aid; OFA Level 1 as required and satisfactory police information check. Lifesaving Society Trainer certification preferred.

The successful candidate will be required to work varying shifts including evenings and weekends, minimum of 14 hours per week (with the possibility of increased hours based on operational requirements).
