Job Description

The successful candidate will learn to be competent in multiple facets of our business including counter service, showroom sales, shipping / receiving and product replenishment to help accelerate our growth. Managing key customer accounts, creative problem-solving and exceeding expectations will be key to success in this role.

Successful graduates of the Strategic Development Program have continued their EMCO careers into various positions such as senior account management, technical sales, purchasing, operations and more.

Phase 1 Warehouse Logistics : Learn the products we sell, how to efficiently warehouse and handle plumbing products, learn how they get from the vendor to the customer and understand all levels of sales support. This phase will consist of learning delivery routes, receiving and putting away stock.

Phase 2 Consultant (Retail) : Get involved in our customer service, counter sales, showroom sales, order management, inventory and pricing controls, credit management, financial statements, and much more.

Phase 3 Consultant Project Management (B2B) : Go from helping customers with various product and service issues to managing large-scale projects.

Phase 4 Account Management : Learn how to find new business opportunities, sell our products, negotiate contracts, and build customer and vendor relationships. Drive customers to our showroom and develop a world class partner ship with designers, builders, and contractors.

Qualifications

  • College and / or University degree
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with fast-paced customer service or counter sales
  • Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and teammates
  • Ability to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate math skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to learn how to operate material handling equipment
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high standard of integrity
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team setting
