Under the supervision of the Customer Accounts-Insurance Team Leader, the holder of the collection technician position is responsible for following up with customers to ensure payment of overdue invoices.

RESPONSABILITIES

  • Ensure the recovery of “insurance” customer accounts in accordance with established procedures and internal control rules;
  • Analyze the accounts according to the payment terms and initiate the recovery procedure within the required time frame;
  • Perform analysis and reconciliation of customer accounts;
  • Keep recovery comments up to date in the computer system;
  • Codify and escalate disputed invoices;
  • Follow up with sales teams regarding overdue accounts;
  • Make adjustments and journal entries to accounts receivable, if necessary;
  • Carry out customer reimbursement requests and check their validity;
  • Answer customer questions, either by telephone or email;
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with our customers;
  • Provide excellent customer service;
  • Provide a status of the resolution of pending files with your team leader;
  • Follow up on various pending files;
  • Participate in various process improvement projects.

REQUIREMENTS

  • DEC in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of collection experience.
  • Perfect command of English and French, both oral and written.
  • Good knowledge of the MS office suite : Strong knowledge of Excel
  • Results oriented
