Position : Refrigeration Technician
Location : Mississauga
Our client in the distribution industry is looking for the ideal candidate that will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various refrigeration systems, including walk-in cold room, chiller, freezers and refrigerator.
The principal responsibility of the Technician is to ensure systems operate efficiently, comply with safety standards, and meet clients' cooling requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install new refrigeration systems and equipment in commercial, and industrial settings.
- Interpret drawings and schematics to ensure proper installation.
- Regularly maintain refrigeration units to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Replace filters, belts, and other components as needed.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and electrical components.
- Troubleshoot issues related to temperature control leaks, and electrical problems.
- Conduct regular inspections of systems to identify potential issues. Test systems to ensure they operate within specified parameters.
- Ensure all installations and repairs comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Handle refrigerants responsibly, following environmental regulations to prevent leaks and ensure proper disposal.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain issues, propose solutions, and provide cost estimates.
- Offer recommendations for system upgrades or replacements when necessary.
Requirement and Qualifications :
Must be ODP certified.Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, components, and systems.Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration systems.Familiarity with the tools and equipment used in the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems.Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems.If you think you are the right candidate for the role, please send your resume in Word to Karen Thomas at .
