Contract Duration : 12+ Months

Project Overview :

  • GTT Canada has a customer that is launching a systems transformation and technology stack modernization initiative over the next 12+ months.
  • As such, they are building a technology team to deliver this project that will include 4 full-stack developers, 2 product analysts, a data developer, and a scrum master.
  • The technology modernization program is underpinned with HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, Angular, MS Power BI, SQL Server, and Python in an agile environment.
  • The systems that are being modernized support financial loans, leasing, financing, and business advisory services.

Position Overview :

  • We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Product Analyst to join our team.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for managing and resolving user stories, evaluating business requirements, and ensuring high-quality product releases.
  • You will work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to facilitate problem-solving, improve processes, and support product increment delivery.
  • Your contributions will be pivotal to the success of our initiatives, particularly as we enhance our product offerings and improve system functionality.
  • Major Responsibilities :

  • Create, manage, and resolve stories in JIRA to ensure timely and efficient delivery of product features.
  • Create, manage, release (production & ITE), and discontinue corporate forms, ensuring they meet business needs and compliance standards.
  • Evaluate and develop business requirements by collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable tasks.
  • The Product Analyst monitors development progress to ensure that standards are adhered to and that solutions are maintainable.
  • Manage incidents and incoming enhancement requests to ensure issues are tracked, addressed, and prioritized appropriately.
  • Document and execute user story acceptance tests to verify that each story meets the required functionality and quality standards.
  • Provide user story and solution support to team members by offering clarification and guidance throughout the development process.
  • Support investigation, analysis, and response to incidents, ensuring that issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate problem and solution negotiations between business stakeholders and IT teams to find effective solutions.
  • Ensure high quality of development and solution delivery before product increment releases, conducting quality checks and validating the final product.
  • Required Experience :

  • 3-5 years experience in an IT analyst role.
  • Experience as a team lead, demonstrating leadership in driving product development and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Required Skills :

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Marketing, or Commerce and 4-6 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Problem-solving skills with strong facilitation and analytical abilities, able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A self-starter with intellectual curiosity and perseverance to drive projects to completion.
  • A confident communicator who is adept at facilitating and building strong partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • A team player who embraces change and continuously strives to improve and innovate processes.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for building great products.
  • Experience working in an agile environment, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to evolving requirements.
  • Nice to Have :

  • Experience with SAP S / 4 ERP, Cash Management, TRM, and / or Concur, version 1809 or newer.
  • Experience with Workday HCM and Workday Adaptive.
  • Proficiency with Jira for managing and tracking user stories.
  • Experience with Credit Decisioning systems in a financial organization, especially those that involve automated decision-making processes.
