Junior Billing Coordinator (Entry Level)

Position Overview

Ecora is looking for a motivated Junior Billing Coordinator to join our finance team. This is an ideal role for a recent graduate or someone with 1-2 years of general business experience who wants to build a career in corporate accounting.

In this role, you will learn our financial systems (Deltek) from the ground up and support our project managers in getting accurate invoices out the door. You will be a key part of ensuring our billing process runs smoothly each month.

Key Responsibilities

1. Billing Support & Processing

  • Assist the finance team with the monthly billing cycle, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Generate draft invoices and distribute them to Project Managers (PMs) for their review.
  • Input simple data corrections, transfers, and adjustments into the system under supervision.
  • Prepare final invoice packages for clients, checking that all numbers and formatting are correct.

2. Data Entry & Administration

  • Set up new projects in the system, ensuring contract details are entered accurately.
  • Maintain organized billing files and digital records for future reference.
  • Help follow up on missing timesheets or expense receipts required for billing.
  • 3. Learning & Development

  • Develop a strong working knowledge of Deltek, our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
  • Learn the basics of project accounting, including how to track budgets and Work in Progress (WIP).
  • Collaborate with the finance team to improve internal processes.
  • Qualifications

    Education & Experience :

  • Recent graduate with a Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance (or equivalent experience).
  • 02 years of experience in an office environment.
  • Skills :

  • Strong Excel skills are highly preferred (comfortable with spreadsheets, formulas, and formatting).
  • High attention to detail and a love for working with numbers.
  • Excellent communication skillsyou aren't afraid to pick up the phone or email a Project Manager to get an answer.
  • Bonus Points : Any previous exposure to accounting software or ERP systems is a plus, but we are happy to train the right person!
