Duties: This position oversees the divisional component of Service Purchase Agreements and service management with funded agencies; creating and maintaining a framework of accountability for government funded organizations; and, working closely with other policy analysts, program specialists, and regional staff, may act as the main point of contact to the agencies on program and service needs, emerging issues and strives to develop solutions. This includes working with and providing training sessions for board of directors to triage needs, maintain regular contact, provide comprehensive support, and follow up. Qualifications:
Essential: - Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree preferably in social sciences, public administration, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience in social policy, creating and maintaining accountability frameworks, complex analysis, and dealing with emerging issues.
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to lead others and have difficult conversations
- Experience building relationships with Indigenous people and implementing the principles of reconciliation.
- Experience in project management
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong political acumen and the ability to manage confidential, controversial or politically sensitive material and situations in an appropriate manner.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure, and manage multiple priorities in tight timeframes, triage needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative working relationships with internal and external partners
- Excellent written communication skills including experience writing a variety of documents and reports for various audiences.
- Excellent verbal communication skills to present and explain complex and technical information.
- Strong financial acumen skills
Desired: - Ability to read, write and speak French is considered an asset
