Controller

Job Description :

Overseeing all accounting operations, including Billing, A / R, A / P, GL, Cost Accounting, Liens / Lien

Waivers, and Revenue Recognition.

 Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any

variances.

 Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.

 Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

 Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax

filings.

 Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen

internal controls.

 Collaborating with project management teams to analyze job costs, and manage the capital budget.

 Implementing and driving lien processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

 Providing leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic

financial objectives.

Job Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A master’s degree or CPA is a plus.

 Minimum of 5+ years of proven accounting experience in the construction industry (architecture or

engineering would be considered).

 Proven experience in driving the financial planning of a company, managing financial risks, record-

keeping, financial reporting, and profitability analysis.

 AIA documentation experience.

 Proven experience with lien processes.

 Proficiency in accounting software, databases, and financial analysis applications.

 Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.

 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with various departments.

 Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely

analyses.

 High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
