Job Title : Journeyman HVAC Technician

Job Description

The main function of a Mobile HVAC Technician is to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across multiple facilities. Individuals are expected to demonstrate technical expertise in one craft area such as Electrical, HVAC, Piping / Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations and be multi-skilled in others.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs to the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire Life Safety, and Control systems for the facility to ensure they meet applicable standards.
• Travel between multiple facilities to ensure their proper function.
• Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing, and inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance, and technical proficiency.
• Clean, inspect, calibrate, and change parts to maintain HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels.
• Record readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment.
• Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials, and maintain a clean and safe workplace.
• Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory.
• Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.
• Comply with all safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping and safety of work areas, and recognize and propose methods to eliminate safety hazards.

Work Environment

Work involves traveling between multiple facilities and maintaining various building systems. The role requires adherence to safety procedures and maintaining a clean and safe workplace. The candidate should be prepared for on-call duties and overtime as required, and will be provided with necessary tools to perform their tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Edmonton, Alberta.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $43.00
