The Opportunity

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Commercial Account Representative is responsible for furnace oil, diesel, gasoline, lubricants, and cardlock sales covering the Eastern Nova Scotia area. The successful candidate will demonstrate industry‑leading outside sales management skills and is responsible for maximizing revenue by creating, managing, and implementing best‑in‑class sales development activities, acquiring / maintaining new accounts, and retaining existing accounts to maximize growth.

Starting Base Salary : $67,500 / year + commissions

Responsibilities

• Achieve commercial sales and margin sales targets for the Commercial Fuels business, with approximately 80% of time on prospecting for new business and 20% managing existing business.
• Work closely with operations and support functions to facilitate solutions for customers. Track volumes, number, and margins by reviewing sales reports.
• Keep up‑to‑date and maintain understanding of oil codes, transportation tank regulations, federal and provincial guidelines for tank and petroleum storage, and company safety regulations.
• Perform various administrative duties, including preparing expense and commission reports using Excel.
• Willingness to travel with some overnights required.
