Job descriptionWe're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive General Accountant to join our growing team in Waterloo, Ontario. If you're someone who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys variety in your day, and thrives in a collaborative environment — this could be the perfect fit.In this role, you'll handle a wide range of accounting responsibilities, support key financial processes, and play an important role in keeping our operations running smoothly.What You'll DoMaintain accurate and organized financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting standardsProcess accounts payable and receivable transactions through Oracle NetSuiteReconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger balancesPrepare and process biweekly payroll, ensuring full compliance with all regulationsAssist with month-end and year-end close proceduresSupport the preparation of financial statements and internal reportsReview and manage employee expense reports and corporate card submissionsContribute to budgeting and forecasting efforts to support sound financial planningPartner with the Controller on financial analysis and special projectsUphold compliance with internal controls and established accounting best practicesWho You AreYou have solid experience in general accounting and financial reportingYou're comfortable working with ERP systems (experience with NetSuite is an asset)You have a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of ownership over your workYou're a team player who enjoys collaborating and continuously improving processes- A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles.- Proficiency in accounting software systems, including Oracle NetSuite and Great Plains.- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, such as ADP, and computerized accounting systems.- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with tax accounting processes.- Ability to manage full charge bookkeeping functions with attention to detail.- Experience in financial reporting and analysis.- Solid understanding of accounting principles and best practices.- Excellent organizational and communication skills for effective collaboration.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
