Job Title : IT Delivery Manager
Location : Burnaby, BC (Hybrid : 3 days on-site)
Salary : $100,000 $120,000

Role Overview :
The IT Delivery Manager will lead the Technology team in delivering IT services that enhance business operations. This role involves equipping store and support staff with the necessary tools to excel in serving our customers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Development and Delivery Management : *
- Initiate and define IT projects to align with business needs and project roadmaps.
- Negotiate project objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
- Create and maintain realistic project plans, managing dependencies and critical paths.
- Coordinate with external vendors to ensure timely delivery of product features.
- Engage in project meetings and steering groups for effective oversight.
- Collaborate with feature teams on backlog management, prioritization, and completion.
- Testing, Release, and Transition Planning : *
- Work with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) teams to align testing with delivery schedules.
- Plan and execute release management, including rollout and communications.
- Ensure smooth project handovers to support teams and suppliers.
- Budget and Process Management : *
- Secure approvals for costs and manage project budgets, flagging exceptions as needed.
- Demonstrate effective budget planning and cost control for new technology initiatives.
- Oversee adherence to delivery processes while seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Collaboration, Support, and Reporting : *
- Promote collaboration across teams and address any challenges in KPIs or skillsets.
- Support feature development projects, ensuring requirements are met.
- Provide regular status updates on project delivery.
- Assist in the Annual Planning process by analyzing demand and team structures.
What We’re Looking For :
- Essential : *
- Minimum 3 years of practical experience in Agile delivery and project management.
- Proven track record in software and application delivery within fast-paced environments.
- Experience in transitioning projects from delivery to ongoing operations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying technical concepts to varied audiences.
- Experience in cost management and collaboration with vendors.
- Strong judgment and problem-solving abilities.
- Organized yet flexible in approach.
- Nice to Have : *
- Formal qualifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile).
- Experience with retail or corporate systems is a plus.
