About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Maintenance and Operations Assistant Manager, and / or designate, performs a variety of skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled tasks related to the upkeep of Nova Scotia Health properties (Facilities and grounds) and related infrastructure, including but not limited to operation, maintenance and service requirements of all grounds and facility related infrastructure and related equipment, aiding other maintenance and operations trades and other related duties as required. The Building Maintenance Worker may be required to fill in for certified trades when required and also maintains and follows operational, equipment, tools, and safety codes, standards, and procedures. Duties may include corrective maintenance on BAS-Monitor / Operate / Maintain, replacing pullies, performing preventative maintenance with the more skilled PMs requiring competency (electrical panel, thermal scanning, and backflow preventer testing), etc.
The Building Maintenance person will exhibit leadership and sound professional judgement and initiative while working within the framework of the objectives of the service and the organization as a whole. Travel to other sites may be required. The incumbent will complete all employer-requested upgrades and / or educational training as required.

Compensation and Benefits
$31.55 - $37.31 Hourly
