Hitachi Energy is seeking a Logistics Planner for its Montreal Campus. HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufactures, and sells DC transmission systems on a global market.

HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems.

To support our expanding business, we are seeking to add a Logistics Planner to our team.

In this role you will assist the HVDC Logistics Specialist with strategy, risks, and routes for large scale projects. This includes assisting with preparation for RFQs, reviewing feasibility studies, risk management.

You will have hands on exposure with heavy lift and heavy transport logistics exceeding 250 metric tons.

Responsibilities :

Handle the transport process from packed material to delivery at customer, including planning, booking, and monitoring.

Prepare shipping documents and evaluate suppliers' documents.

Fulfills shipping, packing, and marking procedures per project requirements and in compliance with governmental regulations.

Work together with internal project, suppliers, forwarders, and customer representatives to ensure a smooth shipping process if Hitachi deliveries to site.

Represent Logistic team in project teams and take responsibility for all shipments in projects within your responsibility.

Ensure project timelines and transportation budget are met.

Ensure compliance of shipping with all local and Global Regulations

Qualifications :

Fluency in English and French, written and verbal.

Strong administration skills

Good communication and networking skills as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills

A BSc in supply chain management

More than 2 years’ experience in supply chain management
